Overview

Gerry Koinis is an attorney with Smith Anderson’s Regulatory and Public Policy and Corporate and Transactional practice groups.

Gerry focuses his practice primarily on municipal law, land use and real estate, health care and corporate law. He advises health care providers, business entities, governmental entities and non-profit organizations on issues related to corporate governance, health care regulations, human resources, environmental compliance, contracting (including meeting state and federal contracting requirements), litigation and economic development. Gerry also represents clients in the sales and acquisitions of businesses, particularly in the health care field, and serves as counsel to numerous planning boards and boards of adjustment.

Prior to joining Smith Anderson, Gerry was a partner with a boutique law firm in Oxford, North Carolina. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and is an avid Tar Heel fan.
